The UAE Capital Market Authority has rolled out a series of enhancements that make capital market regulations easier to find, read and follow in both Arabic and English, in a move aimed at strengthening the regulatory environment and aligning it with international best practices.
The content has been reorganised into clearly defined chapters and categories. Users can now view regulations currently in force, approved updates, repealed provisions, archived materials and version history in one structured place. This gives a clear picture of the present regulatory landscape and shows how it has evolved over time.
The changes are designed for investors, licensed entities, issuers, financial influencers, regulatory sandbox participants and other market stakeholders, both in the UAE and abroad. Enhanced search and filtering, improved navigation, links to related content and direct switching between Arabic and English make the material simpler to use. Updates appear alongside their dates and version history, helping users identify which requirements apply today.
Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi, Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, said every transformative initiative is focused on building a regulatory environment that facilitates stakeholders’ access to regulatory frameworks while enhancing connectivity and future readiness.
“By improving the way regulatory frameworks are accessed, presented, and updated, we are making it easier for stakeholders to understand the frameworks governing the capital market,”
he said, adding that the changes also strengthen transparency, efficiency and confidence.
Abdullatif Alshamsi, Director of the Policies and Legislation Department, said accessible regulation helps stakeholders understand the rules that apply to their activities. He noted that bringing current regulations together with related decisions and updates creates a more consistent reference point.
The enhancements are supported by a cloud-based, AI-ready technology infrastructure. This reinforces the Authority’s wider digital transformation efforts and lays a stronger foundation for applying technology to regulatory information search and retrieval in the future.
