The UAE Ministry of Interior has officially begun implementing the entry process for Emirati citizens into the United States' 'Global Entry' program, following an agreement signed in September during President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit to the United States. The agreement, brokered between the UAE Ministry of Interior and the US Department of Homeland Security, allows Emirati citizens to experience expedited entry into the United States.

The 'Global Entry' program, a US Customs and Border Protection initiative, facilitates faster entry for UAE citizens visiting the US for tourism, business, and personal purposes. With over 75 participating US airports, UAE citizens enrolled in the program can bypass lengthy immigration lines, using automated verification systems at designated transit gates.

To join the program, applicants must complete the registration process on the official website, and undergo a security background check. Importantly, participants must still hold a valid entry visa to travel to the United States.

This collaboration underscores the strong ties between the UAE and the US, acknowledging the UAE's distinguished international standing. By simplifying travel procedures and expediting entry, the program highlights the shared commitment of both nations to enhance citizen mobility while strengthening bilateral relations.
