H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opened the 46th edition of Big 5 Global in Dubai, setting the tone for one of the largest gatherings of construction and urban development specialists worldwide.
The event reinforces the UAE’s drive to advance sustainable growth and future-ready infrastructure.
Held at Dubai World Trade Centre until 27 November, Big 5 Global has drawn more than 85,000 professionals and over 2,800 exhibitors showcasing 60,000 products spanning construction, geospatial technologies and facilities management. Sheikh Mansoor highlighted the sector’s role in translating national development plans into infrastructure that supports economic priorities and long-term growth.
During his tour, Sheikh Mansoor visited international pavilions, including those of Spain and Italy, and reviewed innovations aimed at enhancing engineering, construction efficiency and urban resilience. He also visited the Dubai Municipality pavilion, which is presenting projects focused on infrastructure sustainability, green building standards and improved energy efficiency.
The event underscores the UAE’s continued commitment to digital transformation, resource efficiency and advanced engineering. It also strengthens Dubai’s position as a global hub for future cities and a key gateway to markets across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
Big 5 Global features an expanded programme of CPD-certified talks across 13 sectors, along with four strategic summits and nine co-located exhibitions. The opening of the Big 5 Global Leaders Summit by Yousef Abdullah from the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure further reinforced the importance of public and private sector collaboration in building smarter and more resilient cities.
For more than four decades, Big 5 Global has supported the UAE’s development agenda by facilitating knowledge exchange, partnerships and innovation across the construction value chain.
