The UAE Cyber Security Council and SCC Middle East are set to develop a new Centre of Excellence for Cyber Resilience and Trusted Technology, designed to serve the region and the wider world.

The announcement was made during AI Everything Abu Dhabi.

The Centre will give government bodies, enterprises, technology partners and specialists a space to explore emerging technologies, test real use cases and learn how new solutions can be adopted securely and at scale.

The initiative will roll out in three phases. The first focuses on building national capability through executive learning, practical labs and specialist development across AI, cloud, data, cybersecurity and critical national infrastructure. The aim is to help organisations move from experimentation to secure, practical adoption.

The second phase will introduce a startup incubator programme to develop and scale UAE cyber innovation, with locally built technologies tested and validated against real-world requirements. The third will help selected UAE-developed technologies reach international customers, ecosystems and commercial opportunities.

Both parties will lead integration and delivery, drawing on the expertise and resources each programme requires.

Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, said the country has set ambitious goals around artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and a secure, resilient digital economy. He added that the Centre will give government, industry and technology partners an environment to turn that ambition into practical capability.

Daniel Valle, CEO of SCC Middle East, said the challenge is no longer access to technology but bringing the right pieces together and proving they work in their intended environment.

"Not a showroom, but somewhere we can bring customers, partners and specialists together around real problems,"

he said. SCC will connect those elements and remain accountable for making them work, he added.
