The UAE Cybersecurity Council has signaled a major leap in national post quantum readiness after confirming new large scale implementation efforts with QuantumGate during CyberQ 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
The announcement marks a shift from planning to active deployment as the country accelerates protections against future quantum decryption threats.
Officials said the expanded partnership with QuantumGate, backed by ATRC and operating under VentureOne, will drive the UAE’s transition toward quantum safe security across key sectors. The joint effort positions the UAE among the first countries to operationalize a comprehensive post quantum strategy at a national level.
The next phase will translate strategy into practical system wide readiness through three major programmes. The National Information Assurance Programme will reinforce baseline security requirements for public and private entities. The National Cybersecurity Index Platform will strengthen national level visibility and readiness measurement. The National Post Quantum Migration Programme will help identify vulnerable cryptographic assets and develop early migration pathways.
The collaboration will also integrate QuantumGate technologies such as the Crypto Discovery Tool, the QSphere security suite, and additional platforms focused on wider enterprise and government cybersecurity needs.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, said the goal is to anticipate threats rather than react to them, noting that quantum safe defenses must be in place before quantum decryption becomes viable.
QuantumGate CEO Dr. Najwa Aaraj said the partnership has moved from research to full scale deployment, with advanced cryptography now applied across national infrastructures.
The long term effort aims to solidify the UAE’s position as a global leader in post quantum security while bolstering national resilience against emerging digital risks.
