The UAE Cybersecurity Council has confirmed that the second edition of the CyberQ conference will be held on 26–27 November at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, bringing together global experts to address the disruptive impact of quantum computing and artificial intelligence on cybersecurity.
Organised under the theme “Where Quantum, AI, and Cybersecurity Converge,” the event is set to attract policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders from more than 100 countries. Discussions will cover AI-driven attacks, defensive automation, and the urgent transition toward post-quantum technologies.
Key focus areas include advances in quantum cryptography, international security standards, and the growing risks posed by organised cybercrime. The agenda reflects the UAE’s role in shaping global strategies for digital resilience.
Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, said the conference follows the directives of the nation’s leadership and underlines the UAE’s vision for global leadership in cybersecurity. He stressed the importance of tackling quantum-era challenges, noting that quantum computing’s ability to solve complex problems demands a rethinking of traditional encryption methods.
He added that holding CyberQ for the second consecutive year strengthens international cooperation and knowledge exchange, helping prepare for a future where quantum capabilities will both challenge and transform cybersecurity.
Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of the Technology Innovation Institute, said TII is supporting the conference as part of its mission to advance sovereign capabilities in cryptography, quantum technologies, and AI. She emphasised the need for innovative approaches to safeguard critical infrastructure, highlighting CyberQ as a platform to accelerate readiness for the quantum era.
