ORYXLABS Partners with UAE Cybersecurity Council to Strengthen Digital Resilience
ORYXLABS, a prominent entity under EDGE specializing in digital risk protection, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Cybersecurity Council at GITEX Global 2024, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre until October 18.
This agreement establishes a collaborative framework for both organizations to coordinate efforts in information security and digital resilience, focusing on sharing insights about security risks and responding to incidents collectively.
This MoU builds upon their earlier collaboration on the State of the Nation: GCC Report, released during GITEX. The report provides a detailed analysis of cybersecurity challenges in the GCC, emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts to enhance the region's cyber resilience.
Sumit Dhar, CEO of ORYXLABS, remarked,
“Our collaboration with the UAE Cybersecurity Council, demonstrated through the in-depth report and today’s MoU, establishes a clear framework to enhance information security. By aligning efforts, we are better positioned to address security risks and safeguard critical infrastructure.”
Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, praised the partnership, highlighting the essential role of public-private collaboration in fortifying national digital security. He noted that cybersecurity is fundamental to digital transformation and requires flexibility to adapt to rapid changes.
The State of the Nation: GCC Report represents a pioneering effort in cybersecurity analysis, involving extensive data collection across the GCC, covering over 2 million domains and analyzing more than 13 million data points to provide valuable insights into the region’s email security landscape.
With ORYXLABS’ expertise in developing advanced cyber solutions, this partnership aims to bolster the UAE's defenses against emerging cyber threats and safeguard national assets.
