Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council (DSC), expressed his happiness at the return of the FIFA World Cup trophy to the UAE once again, within the framework of promoting the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Hareb said:
'' The UAE is an essential stop for the famous World Cup trophy tour, as the FIFA and the sponsoring companies used to come here to display the cup in a number of tourist attractions and cultural monuments in Dubai, as well as visit a number of institutions, and organize sports and community events that enjoy great media attention and public follow-up.
"After two successful and wonderful tours of the trophy to promote the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, the trophy arrives in Dubai as part of its 2022 FIFA World Cup tour, which confirms the position of the UAE in all fields, including sports and commercial marketing. It also confirms the strong relationship of state institutions with FIFA and the sponsoring companies, where Visa International is conducting the current tour as a partner of FIFA as well as a financial partner for many national institutions, and it has a long and solid relationship with state institutions and members of society."
Hareb concluded:
"The trophy was displayed in December 2013 in the Burj Plaza on Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard near Burj Khalifa, and in February 2018 it was displayed again near Dubai Frame and on the Tolerance Bridge, and today the Cup will visit the amazing Museum of the Future.
