The UAE Gender Balance Council has signed an MoU with the Posterity Institute to advance the SDG 5 Acceleration Pledge, aiming to increase women’s representation in private sector leadership roles to 30% by 2028.
As part of the agreement:
- 35% of the Posterity Institute’s network will sign the pledge.
- The partnership includes knowledge exchange, joint training programs, and coordination with NAFIS to create more job opportunities for Emirati women.
H.E. Mona Al Marri, Vice President of the Council, said the agreement supports the UAE’s vision for gender balance and public-private collaboration. H.E. Mouza Al Suwaidi emphasized the importance of inclusive workplaces and skills development for women leaders. Dr. Yassar Jarrar, Managing Partner of Posterity Institute, highlighted gender balance as a driver of innovation and sustainable growth.
The Posterity Institute joins 71 local and international firms that have pledged to raise female leadership to 30% by 2025 across industries including banking, media, tourism, healthcare, and more.
This partnership reinforces the UAE’s regional leadership in gender equality, ranked 7th globally in the 2024 UNDP Gender Equality Index.
