The UAE has become home to nearly 1,300 Korean companies, marking a growth of more than 16% compared to August 2024, according to Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism.

The announcement came during a meeting in Abu Dhabi with a delegation of Korean business leaders led by Yoon Jin-sik, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA). The delegation included representatives from 25 companies spanning technology, healthcare, energy, artificial intelligence, investment, and electric vehicles.

Al Marri highlighted the UAE’s role as a vital economic partner for the Republic of Korea, serving as a strategic hub for Korean exports to the Middle East and North Africa. He emphasized that the nation’s competitive business environment and attractive investment landscape continue to draw Korean firms seeking expansion opportunities.

The minister noted that growing Korean participation reflects the UAE’s broader strategy of fostering global partnerships and strengthening economic diversification. He added that the strong bilateral relationship underlines the shared commitment of both nations to advancing trade, innovation, and sustainable growth.
