The Ministry of Economy, in collaboration with Integra Seven, a UAE-based public policy research firm, recently hosted the UAE Future Talent Policy Roundtable.

The event brought together leaders from key economic sectors and provided a sneak peek of the UAE Future Tech Talent Report 2024, set for release in October.

Prominent organizations such as Fragomen, Du, AWS, DP World, and Dubai Knowledge Park participated in discussions focusing on the latest trends in tech talent. The roundtable aimed to explore policy-driven strategies to reinforce the UAE's position as a global talent hub.

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, underscored the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors.

“Public-private dialogue is central to our national economic agenda,"

he said, emphasizing the role of talent attraction policies in the UAE’s ambitions for a knowledge-based economy.

Natalia Sycheva, Managing Director of Integra Seven, highlighted the significance of the upcoming 2024 report.

"The 2023 edition identified key trends, but this year’s report uncovers several new developments critical for future planning."

The discussions also focused on addressing skills gaps, enhancing collaboration between education and industry, and integrating local and international talent. Participants emphasized the need for a future-oriented approach to workforce development, ensuring the UAE remains competitive in the global tech talent race.

The UAE Future Tech Talent Report 2024 promises to deliver actionable insights and recommendations for businesses and policymakers, helping to maintain the nation's standing as a global leader in technology and innovation.
