Dubai is set to welcome over 700 global experts from 93 countries as the UAE hosts the Annual Meetings of the Global Future Councils and Cybersecurity 2025 from Tuesday until 16 October.

The dual events aim to foster international collaboration and develop solutions for rapidly evolving global challenges.

Organised by the UAE Government in partnership with the World Economic Forum, the gatherings bring together 37 councils covering six key areas: Technology, Economy, Society, Environment, Governance, and Health. Participants will explore ways to enhance sustainable development, improve quality of life, and create opportunities for future generations.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Co-Chair of the Global Future Councils, highlighted the UAE’s commitment to global dialogue under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He described the councils as essential platforms for sharing expertise, fostering cooperation, and turning ideas into actionable solutions.

WEF President Børge Brende underscored the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in addressing interconnected political, economic, social, and technological challenges. He praised the UAE-WEF partnership as a model for international cooperation that strengthens the global capacity to drive sustainable change.

This year’s meetings introduce the Output Labs, where experts in economics, digital security, and climate will develop insights to guide leaders worldwide. Additional workshops and panels will tackle regulatory innovation, digital health, trade technology, and emerging AI applications, while the Annual Cybersecurity Meeting brings together over 150 specialists to advance a safer digital environment.

Celebrating 16 years of partnership, the Global Future Councils have convened more than 12,000 leaders globally, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a hub for international collaboration and forward-looking solutions.
