Notable UAE attendees included Younis Haji AlKhoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, and other key Ministry officials. Diplomats from Russia, China, Bangladesh, and Algeria were also in attendance.

During his opening remarks, Younis Haji AlKhoori highlighted the UAE’s commitment to sustainable development and international cooperation, positioning the workshop as a platform for fostering partnerships among Global South nations.

“Investment in sustainable infrastructure is key to achieving comprehensive development,”

he emphasized.

Ashwani K. Muthoo, Director General of the NDB’s Independent Evaluation Office, reiterated the workshop's importance in enhancing capacity-building for sustainable infrastructure projects, underscoring the UAE’s role in supporting the bank’s sustainability agenda.
