The UAE’s industrial sector has experienced impressive growth, contributing 57% more to the nation's GDP, with projections surpassing AED 210 billion, according to Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology.
In recent statements, Dr. Al Jaber shared that the country's industrial exports have surged by 63%, expected to exceed AED 190 billion since the establishment of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in 2020. He credited the success to the ministry's strategic initiatives, including the ‘Operation 300 bn’ plan, which aims to boost industrial development, enhance national economic growth, and promote self-sufficiency through sustainable supply chains.
Among the key initiatives is the "Make it in the Emirates" campaign, designed to attract local and international investors to the UAE’s industrial growth journey. Dr. Al Jaber emphasized the impact of the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ Forum, which has already identified AED 143 billion worth of products for local manufacturing and secured AED 7 billion in purchases. The Forum has also attracted AED 20 billion in new investments and will hold its largest edition from May 19–22, 2025, at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE's National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme, part of the "Projects of the 50" initiative, has redirected AED 300 billion into the national economy and created 19,000 private-sector jobs. The country’s efforts in advanced technology and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) were highlighted with the Industrial Technology Transformation Index (ITTI), which has assessed over 500 factories and certified both local and international assessors.
The UAE continues to foster a competitive and supportive industrial environment, positioning itself as a regional leader in competitiveness and infrastructure quality.
