UAE Innovates 2025 Kicks Off, Marking a Decade of Transformative Progress
The UAE is set to launch "UAE Innovates 2025" on Saturday under the theme "The Power of 10 – Where Does Your Strength Lie?"
The month-long initiative underscores the nation’s commitment to innovation and community engagement, aligning with the leadership’s vision for 2025 as the "Year of Community."
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, highlighted the UAE’s transformation of innovation into tangible applications, enhancing government efficiency and global competitiveness while improving quality of life. The initiative will take place across all seven emirates, featuring hundreds of activities and culminating in Dubai with the "UAE Innovates Exhibition."
This year marks a significant milestone, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation (MBRCGI). Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, emphasized that UAE Innovation Month has evolved into a dynamic platform for fostering transformative projects and government advancements.
A key highlight is the fifth edition of the "UAE Innovates" Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions in categories such as Digital Transformation, Sustainability, and Social Innovation. Additionally, the Pitch@Gov Program, in partnership with UAE University and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund, will offer AED200,000 in financial support for student-led renewable energy projects.
The event will conclude on February 26, celebrating the winners of the UAE Innovates Awards and honoring contributors to the country’s innovation ecosystem. Since its inception in 2015, UAE Innovates has engaged over 1.5 million participants and hosted more than 8,000 events, cementing the UAE’s position as a global innovation hub.
