The UAE Digital government said that International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by the UAE could be used as an identification card in the event a passport is lost abroad.
The UAE Digital government has affirmed that UAE nationals and residents are not allowed to drive a vehicle abroad without an International Driving Permit.
The authorities said that the IDP is valid for one year and is renewable. The government also indicated that there are 6 options available to citizens and residents in the country to obtain an IDP.
