The UAE Ministry of Economy has introduced a National Digital Platform to monitor the prices of essential consumer goods across the country in real time.

This initiative enhances transparency and ensures price stability by tracking key staples such as oil, eggs, dairy, rice, sugar, poultry, legumes, bread, and wheat across various retailers. The platform enables officials to compare prices against established ceilings, ensuring compliance with market regulations and safeguarding consumer rights.

Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, emphasized that the platform strengthens the country's consumer protection framework while fostering a stable and competitive market. He highlighted that this move aligns with the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision, which aims to drive economic resilience and sustainable development.

The platform is expected to provide consumers with greater confidence in the fair pricing of essential goods, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to a well-regulated economy.
