UAE Launches STOGOCOMP: Nation’s First AI & Robotics Competition for Students

Dubai is set to witness a groundbreaking initiative as the Emirates Safer Internet Society (eSafe) unveils STOGOCOMP, the UAE’s first open AI and robotics competition for school students aged 9 to 19.

Designed to inspire innovation and creativity, the competition aims to engage students from both public and private schools in developing effective solutions to enhance the well-being of children in educational institutions. With a strong focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) disciplines, STOGOCOMP encourages participants to expand their knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence and robotics.

Organized by eSafe in collaboration with the Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), the event will be hosted at the University of Dubai with technical support from Tachyon 360. The initiative is generously funded by Disney Company.

Dr. Abdulla Mohamed Al Mehyas, Chairman of eSafe, highlighted the significance of STOGOCOMP in aligning with the UAE’s vision of becoming a global AI leader.

“This competition paves the way for UAE students to make meaningful contributions to the country’s technological advancements,”

he said.

Dr. Eesa Mohammed Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, emphasized the importance of equipping youth with essential digital skills.

“STOGOCOMP represents a pivotal step in fostering innovation and academic excellence, helping students navigate the evolving digital landscape,”

he stated.

Dr. Saeed Al Dhaheri, President of the Robotics and Automation Society, praised the platform for encouraging young minds to develop impactful solutions.

With its first edition set to unfold, STOGOCOMP promises to fuel curiosity, inspire breakthroughs, and shape the future of AI and robotics in the UAE.
