The UAE Ministry of Community Development has launched a unified electronic linkage system for approving parking permits for People of Determination across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

This initiative, in collaboration with several government entities, represents a significant step towards enhancing digital transformation and sustainability in the UAE.

The system, implemented with the support of the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO), Abu Dhabi and Dubai Police, the Integrated Transport Centre, and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), among others, allows People of Determination to use designated parking spaces without needing to display paper permits. This not only simplifies movement between the two emirates but also supports the nation’s goals of reducing paper usage and improving resource management.

This project is part of the UAE’s broader commitment to providing innovative and advanced services to People of Determination, aiming to enhance their quality of life. It includes all individuals holding valid permits from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, or any other emirate, thus facilitating greater independence and integration into society.

Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary-General of ZHO, and other key officials from the involved entities have expressed their support, highlighting the project as a qualitative leap in government services. The initiative underscores the UAE's dedication to improving the lives of People of Determination, ensuring their rights and comfort are prioritized through advanced, user-friendly services.
