The UAE is unveiling a new era of luxury tourism with landmark projects across its emirates aimed at strengthening global competitiveness and driving economic growth.

From world-class theme parks to cultural landmarks and eco-friendly resorts, the initiatives mark one of the country’s most ambitious pushes to attract international visitors.

At the center of the developments is Abu Dhabi’s Disney Theme Park Resort, announced for Yas Island in 2025. The project will be Disney’s first new destination in nearly a decade and its seventh worldwide. The capital is also advancing the Saadiyat Cultural District, with the Zayed National Museum, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Natural History Museum, and the “teamLab Phenomena” digital art museum nearing completion. A Butterfly Gardens sanctuary will further enrich the emirate’s offerings.

Dubai is set to open “Therme Dubai” in 2028, a AED2 billion wellness resort in Zabeel Park billed as the world’s largest of its kind. The 500,000 sq. ft. destination will include indoor and outdoor pools, Michelin-star dining, and expansive leisure features designed for 1.7 million annual visitors. The emirate is also developing the Mushrif Hub with the city’s longest mountain bike track.

Sharjah is focusing on cultural and eco-tourism with projects such as the Kalba Rock Art Centre, Kalba Beach, and “Nomad” hiking trails. Umm Al Quwain is pushing ahead with a 25 million sq. ft. waterfront development, while Ras Al Khaimah continues its hospitality expansion on Al Marjan Island, including a Four Seasons and the flagship Wynn resort. Fujairah will add the Avani+ Fujairah Resort, opening in 2028.

Together, these developments underscore the UAE’s strategy to position itself as a premier global tourism hub, blending culture, wellness, luxury, and sustainability.
