The UAE-Lithuania Business Forum, held today at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), spotlighted new avenues for bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in advanced technology, renewable energy, and green innovation.
Organised by the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the forum brought together high-level officials, including H.E. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Vice Chairman of the UAE Chambers and Chairman of SCCI; Sigitas Gailiunas, President of the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry; and Ramūnas Davidonis, Lithuania’s Ambassador to the UAE.
Al Owais underscored the UAE’s commitment to diversifying global economic ties and highlighted the nation’s investor-friendly ecosystem as a launchpad for Lithuanian enterprises seeking regional access.
“This forum reflects our shared vision to strengthen trade and investment ties in priority sectors like technology and green energy,”
he said.
Sigitas Gailiunas echoed the sentiment, noting Lithuania’s robust tech ecosystem and its potential for collaboration with UAE firms in software, IT, and telecommunications.
The forum, which featured panel discussions and investor presentations, served as a platform to explore joint ventures in innovation-led sectors. It also showcased Sharjah’s appeal as an investment hub across industries such as logistics, healthcare, education, and the creative economy.
Marking a major milestone, the SCCI signed two Memoranda of Understanding with Lithuanian chambers in Šiauliai and Kaunas. These agreements aim to deepen economic partnerships through delegation exchanges, joint research, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The forum concluded on a high note, reinforcing the momentum in UAE-Lithuania ties and paving the way for strategic collaboration geared toward sustainable growth and mutual prosperity.
