Federal and private sector employees across the UAE will observe a holiday on Friday, September 5, in celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources confirmed the day off for ministries and government entities in a circular issued this week. The authority also extended greetings to the UAE leadership, citizens and residents, as well as to the wider Arab and Islamic world.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation separately announced that private sector employees will also receive a paid public holiday on the same day. The ministry conveyed its congratulations and best wishes to the nation’s leadership and people on the occasion.
The unified announcement ensures both public and private sector employees in the UAE will share the holiday.
