The Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the Central Bank of the UAE and the UAE Embassy in Washington, will host the UAE Banks Reception on 16 October 2025 in Washington, D.C., alongside the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
The event aims to enhance strategic relations between UAE banks and their international counterparts while creating new opportunities for cooperation, investment, and sustainable growth in the financial sector. It will also serve as a platform for direct engagement between financial institutions, investors, and regulators from around the world.
Younis Haji AlKhoori, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, said the reception reflects the UAE’s commitment to deepening international financial partnerships and advancing its position as a leading global financial hub. He noted that the gathering provides a key opportunity to highlight the UAE’s evolving regulatory landscape and its role in shaping innovative and sustainable financial practices.
AlKhoori added that the Ministry, together with its partners, seeks to foster stronger collaboration between national banks and global investors, encourage knowledge exchange, and develop financing tools that contribute to a resilient national economy.
Supported by major UAE financial institutions, including DIFC, ADGM, FAB, Emirates NBD, ADCB, and others, the initiative underscores the collective effort to promote the UAE’s financial sector on the world stage. The event also aligns with the objectives of the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision, reinforcing the nation’s long-term commitment to openness, collaboration, and sustainable economic growth.
