The Ministry of Finance has secured two major accolades at the Asia Pacific Procurement Awards 2025 in Singapore, underscoring the UAE’s growing leadership in digital transformation and procurement excellence across the region.
The Ministry received the Asia Pacific Digital Impact Award and the Asia Pacific Procurement Team Award during a ceremony attended by senior officials and procurement representatives from across the Asia Pacific region. The recognition highlights the Ministry’s efforts to advance governance, transparency, and efficiency within the federal procurement system.
Younis Haji AlKhoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, said the awards reflect the UAE’s commitment to adopting advanced digital solutions and strengthening public financial management. He noted that the achievements build on years of work to enhance the Federal Procurement Platform, which has improved transparency and streamlined public spending.
The Digital Impact Award recognises the Ministry’s success in digitising the entire procurement cycle, integrating platforms, and using data analytics and artificial intelligence to accelerate transactions. These upgrades have reduced operational timelines, improved compliance, and expanded fair access to procurement opportunities, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Procurement Team Award acknowledges the performance of the Digital Procurement Platform team, which has implemented a unified operational model rooted in governance and institutional transparency. The team has prioritised training and professional certification to boost national talent and improve institutional performance.
Winners were selected through a detailed evaluation based on measurable impact, implementation quality, and innovation. The recognition reinforces the Ministry’s role in driving sustainable transformation within the government procurement sector.
