UAE Navy Welcomes New Al Emarat Corvette (P111) Into Fleet

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, today commissioned the Al Emarat Corvette (P111), a cutting-edge naval vessel built to the highest international military standards.

The official induction ceremony was attended by senior military leaders, including His Excellency Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, and senior officers from the UAE Armed Forces.

In his remarks, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the launch of the Al Emarat Corvette highlights the UAE Navy’s ongoing commitment to bolstering the country’s defensive capabilities. He noted that the advanced warship strengthens the UAE’s ability to safeguard its coastline and strategic interests, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s defense sector.

The new vessel is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including panoramic sensors, radar systems, and an electronic warfare suite, providing enhanced operational readiness. Its advanced security intelligence unit is capable of seamless data collection and processing, ensuring maximum efficiency in both defense and communication operations.

Sheikh Hamdan praised the national teams responsible for the ship’s design and development, stressing that investing in cutting-edge military technology enhances the UAE’s global competitiveness in defense and strengthens the armed forces’ efficiency.
