UAE Open Muay Thai Championship Kicks Off in Dubai
The UAE Open Muay Thai Championship for Men and Women commenced on Friday evening at Dubai’s Festival Arena, showcasing a remarkable gathering of 235 competitors from 44 clubs, both local and international.
Organized by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, the championship runs through Sunday, October 27, underscoring the UAE's growing prominence as a vital hub for Muay Thai on both regional and global stages. This year’s event has attracted athletes from various countries, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and China, who are competing across diverse age groups and weight categories.
The opening day featured an exhilarating 58 preliminary matches, demonstrating the skill and determination of the athletes. Spectators were treated to a showcase of high-energy bouts, setting the stage for a thrilling tournament. The semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday, with the finals and awards ceremony to conclude the championship on Sunday.
