The UAE government, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF), has unveiled the "We the UAE 2031 Strategic Intelligence Councils," a joint initiative aimed at leveraging global trends to propel the country’s national vision, "We the UAE 2031."

The initiative seeks to establish the UAE as a global economic hub and influential partner by gathering approximately 120 key stakeholders annually.

The official launch was announced by Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, during the 2024 Global Future Councils Meeting in Dubai, held from October 15-17.

The initiative follows an agreement made at the 2024 WEF Annual Meeting in Davos, where UAE government representatives and WEF signed a pact to launch the "We the UAE for Strategic Intelligence 2031" platform. This platform will serve as a knowledge base for policymakers and strategists, drawing insights from over 2,500 global experts and 450 sources.

Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategy Affairs, emphasized the role of strategic intelligence in shaping future policies and fostering government agility, in alignment with the vision of UAE leadership.

The councils will focus on key areas such as foreign direct investment, quantum economy, green economy solutions, health technology, and social innovation. This partnership with WEF represents a continued collaboration that underscores the UAE's commitment to innovation, technology, and strategic planning.

The 2024 Annual Meeting of Global Future Councils features over 500 participants from 80 countries, discussing critical global issues across technology, governance, environment, and societal sectors.
