Digital Dubai and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) have announced that UAE PASS has won the Gold Award in the International General Authority category at the 16th Public Sector Transformation Awards (IESE) 2025.
This prestigious global event, organized by the British non-profit IESE Foundation, recognizes excellence and innovation in the government sector.
Competing against 140 distinguished government initiatives worldwide, UAE PASS stood out for its role in driving the UAE’s digital transformation. Developed through a strategic collaboration between Digital Dubai, TDRA, the Department of Government Enablement in Abu Dhabi, and other federal entities, the platform offers a secure national digital identity for citizens, residents, and visitors.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, emphasized that this award reflects the UAE’s leadership in digital identity solutions and is a testament to successful intergovernmental collaboration. He noted that UAE PASS supports the country's vision of an integrated digital society, leveraging AI to ensure seamless and secure identity verification.
Eng. Majid Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of TDRA, highlighted that the award is a significant milestone in the UAE’s digital transformation journey. He reaffirmed TDRA’s commitment to advancing 'We Are the UAE 2031', a national vision aimed at sustained digital innovation and customer-centric services.
The awards ceremony took place on March 5, 2025, in London, attended by global government leaders and digital transformation experts.
UAE PASS has now been adopted by over 340 entities, including 60 federal, 171 local government, and 118 private sector organizations, providing access to more than 15,000 digital services, cementing its status as a model for secure and efficient e-governance.
