The UAE Football Association (FA) has secured an impressive sixth place in the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) latest rankings for the 2024–2025 women’s club competitions, making it the highest-ranked Arab federation.
The UAE FA earned a total of 50.8 points, underscoring a significant milestone in the nation’s women’s football journey.
This achievement follows the strong showing of the Abu Dhabi Women’s Club, which reached the quarter-finals of the inaugural AFC Women’s Champions League, highlighting the growing competitiveness of UAE clubs on the continental stage. The ranking also reflects the broader advancement of women’s football across senior and youth levels in the country.
The AFC’s rankings combine club performance in the 2024–2025 AFC Women’s Champions League with national team standings based on the FIFA Women’s World Rankings released on March 6. This method provides a comprehensive view of progress in women’s football across Asia.
The UAE’s position as the top Arab federation signals rising regional strength and growing investment in the women’s game, setting a promising outlook for future tournaments.
