UAE Re-Elected to UNWTO Executive Council for 2025-2029

The United Arab Emirates has secured re-election to the Executive Council of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) for the 2025-2029 term.

The announcement was made during the 51st meeting of the UNWTO Regional Committee for the Middle East, held in Doha, Qatar.

The UAE delegation at the event was led by Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy. The meeting focused on key tourism initiatives and projects designed to enhance the development and sustainability of the tourism sector across the region.

Reaffirming its commitment to advancing global tourism, the UAE’s re-election underscores its significant role in shaping policies and strategies that drive tourism growth.
