As per local media reports, UAE residents can now easily update their visa information using online platforms with just a few taps and clicks. When requesting changes to their residence visas, an automatic application for Emirates ID replacement will also be generated.
According to a report from Al Khaleej, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) has verified the availability of this online service.
Individuals interested in utilizing this service can access it through the official website of the authority (www.icp.gov.ae) or the UAEICP smart app.
The online platform allows modification of various residence visa data, including "personal information, profession, passport details, or nationality (in case of acquiring a new nationality)."
Requirements, fees
To apply for the service, residents must submit the following documents:
- Coloured ID photo
- Passport copy
- A request to amend the data signed by the sponsor
- Copy of the Emirates ID card (front and back)
To complete the process, a Dh200 fee must be paid. In case an application is rejected due to insufficient details or any discrepancies, the payment will be refunded, according to the report.
