From January 1, 2025, UAE residents traveling to Thailand must apply for their visas through an e-Visa platform. Physical submission of passports and original documents at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Thai Consulate in Dubai will no longer be required, as announced by the Thai Embassy.
To apply, residents must create an account on Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official e-Visa platform. Applicants need to complete the online form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the visa fee online. A payment receipt will be sent to the registered email.
Applicants should ensure that all information is accurate and error-free, as discrepancies may lead to rejection. During the review process, the embassy may request additional documents or an in-person interview, if necessary.
Once the e-Visa is approved, a confirmation email will be sent. Travelers must print a copy of this email to present to airline staff and Thai immigration officials upon arrival.
For in-person applications, the last date for submission is December 24, 2024, with the final collection date set for December 26, 2024.
