The First UAE Russia Business Forum opened in Dubai today, bringing together senior government officials, major corporate leaders, and investors as both countries look to deepen economic ties and explore new avenues for long term growth.
Organised by the Russia UAE Business Council with support from Russian federal ministries and Marathon Investment Group, the forum is set to become an annual platform aligned with the Intergovernmental Russia UAE Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation.
Trade and investment activity between the two countries has expanded significantly in recent years, with collaboration now spanning manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, healthcare, digital technologies, and a widening range of innovative sectors.
The forum’s main plenary session, titled Architecture of Long Term Growth: New Opportunities for Both Countries, will outline the Council’s strategic roadmap. Alexander Vinokurov, Chairman of the Russia UAE Business Council, will introduce new instruments designed to unlock economic potential and drive cross border partnerships. Senior participants include UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov.
A separate innovation focused session will convene leaders from the Dubai Future Foundation, Invest in Sharjah, VisionLabs, Promobot, and other organisations. It will launch the first accelerator programme aimed at building a comprehensive growth ecosystem for Russian technology companies entering the UAE market.
Investment Majlis will host discussions on expanding cooperation between strategic investors and specialised funds, including plans for a dedicated Russia UAE investment platform.
The event will conclude with a panel on future trade and logistics, where speakers from DP World, Emirates Airlines, KEZAD, RAKEZ, and major Russian logistics firms will examine export corridors, diversified trade routes, and sustainable multimodal solutions.
