Dubai is set to welcome leaders, investors, and government officials from across Africa for the UAE-Africa Tourism Investment Summit 2025 on Monday, 27 October, at the Madinat Jumeirah hotel.
Held under the theme ‘Building Bridges for Sustainable Growth,’ the summit aims to strengthen tourism and economic ties between the UAE and African nations.
The event, organised by The Bench as part of the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS World 2025), will spotlight investment opportunities across hospitality, infrastructure, and sustainable tourism initiatives. It underscores the UAE’s role as a strategic partner in Africa’s growing tourism sector.
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, will lead the summit alongside over 350 participants, including ministers, senior officials, investors, and entrepreneurs from 53 African countries. The summit will provide a platform for dialogue, expertise exchange, and partnership development.
Six panel discussions will explore topics such as tourism-driven economic growth, investment in infrastructure, global financing for hospitality, and the private sector’s role in shaping Africa’s tourism future. Sessions will also focus on digital solutions, fintech, and logistical connectivity to enhance travel, sustainability, and visitor experiences.
A high-level ministerial roundtable will feature Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and more than 20 African ministers, highlighting strategies to position tourism as a key driver of economic growth and sustainable development. The discussions will also showcase the UAE’s tourism model, which combines investment attraction with economic diversification.
Africa’s tourism sector, growing over 13% annually and attracting more than 74 million international visitors, offers a promising landscape for UAE investment. The summit aims to translate this growth into long-term, sustainable partnerships between the two regions.
