Dubai hosted the opening of World Health Expo 2026 on Monday at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, bringing together UAE health authorities under the Emirates Health platform to showcase the country’s approach to building a healthier nation.
The event highlights the UAE’s commitment to prevention, innovation, and coordinated healthcare delivery at both national and regional levels.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention, alongside the Emirates Drug Establishment, Dubai Health Authority, Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Sharjah Health Authority, and Emirates Council for Integrative Medicine, presented a unified vision focused on improving population health and national resilience. The platform demonstrates how policy, regulation, and innovation work together to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and long-term social and economic development.
Key initiatives on display include the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Disease Registry (Bayan) for integrated health data analytics, the Health Policy and Legislation Smart Platform for agile regulation, and an AI-powered Behavioural Insights Platform supporting preventive health policies. Clinical innovations such as advanced organ perfusion technologies were also highlighted through the National Programme for Donation and Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissue (Hayat).
Officials emphasized the UAE’s focus on prevention-led healthcare and integrated systems. Minister Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh noted that building the health of the nation is a fundamental government responsibility, while Sheikha Salama bint Tahnoon highlighted the country’s pioneering efforts in combining traditional and modern medicine. Local authorities reinforced the role of digital transformation, data-driven insights, and international collaboration in shaping a resilient healthcare system.
World Health Expo 2026 features more than 4,300 exhibitors from over 180 countries and provides a global platform for knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, and innovation in healthcare delivery, technology, and research. Agreements with local and international partners are expected to further strengthen the UAE’s position as a leading hub for sustainable healthcare.
