With ambitions to rank among the world’s most advanced nations in this vital sector, the UAE has significantly ramped up investments in AI and technology, securing a prosperous and sustainable future.
International company leaders highlighted the UAE’s commitment to technology as a cornerstone of its development strategy. Kiril Evtimov, Group Chief Technology Officer at G42, noted that the UAE stands at the forefront of global AI advancements, rivaling mature technology markets like the U.S. “Microsoft's recent $1.5 billion investment in G42 underscores the UAE's potential to lead AI development across key sectors such as healthcare, education, and energy,” he stated.
The UAE ranks third globally in attracting AI experts, driven by a focus on cultivating a skilled workforce. G42 is at the forefront, providing comprehensive solutions from advanced data centers to innovative AI models. Evtimov also emphasized the commitment to safe AI development, with new research centers launched in collaboration with Microsoft and NVIDIA to tackle real-world challenges.
Jacob Chacko from HPE Aruba Networking highlighted that the UAE's visionary leadership has successfully integrated AI across key sectors, enhancing quality of life and stimulating economic growth. Meanwhile, Ahmad Alkhallafi of Hewlett Packard Enterprise noted the UAE's ambitious AI strategy, aiming for significant economic gains by 2031 through extensive investments that promote local talent and sustainable development.
Hyther Nizam from Zoho echoed this sentiment, stating that the UAE is actively pursuing collaborations between public and private sectors to harness AI's potential, driving growth in this promising field. As the UAE continues to foster innovation, it is solidifying its role as a global hub for AI development.
