A key milestone in this effort is the UAE’s accession to the Pax Silica Declaration, a move that strengthens its standing in global supply chains for advanced technologies linked to artificial intelligence. The step also reinforces the country’s role as a trusted international partner in the autonomous and unmanned systems sector.
Autonomous technologies have become a strategic pillar for enhancing infrastructure efficiency, supporting sustainability goals and driving new economic pathways. National institutions such as the Advanced Technology Research Council and the Technology Innovation Institute have played a central role in building a strong research and industrial base capable of delivering globally competitive solutions.

Major international events hosted in the country, including UMEX, SimTEX and Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Week, have provided platforms to showcase national capabilities while promoting global dialogue on emerging technologies.
