The UAE showcased its commitment to strengthening economic ties with China by participating in the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), held in Beijing under the theme "Global Services, Shared Prosperity."
The UAE pavilion was inaugurated by Dr. Abdulrahman Hassan Al Muaini, Assistant Undersecretary for IP Rights at the Ministry of Economy, Khaled Mohammed Al Shehhi, Deputy Head of the UAE Mission to China, and Guo Huai Gang, President of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
The UAE's presence at CIFTIS was accompanied by the 'UAE-Beijing Economic Forum,' which marked 40 years of bilateral relations between the two nations. Titled "Forty Years of Prosperity," the forum focused on enhancing cooperation in technology, innovation, and intellectual property (IP) within the creative industries. The discussions highlighted mutual efforts to advance strategic partnerships and explore new opportunities in the evolving global economy.
Dr. Al Muaini emphasized the deepening UAE-China relations, praising both countries' leadership for fostering robust collaborations.
"The exhibition serves as a key platform to promote national industries and services, particularly in manufacturing, technology, and the new economy,"
he stated.
The UAE pavilion highlighted the nation's status as a sustainable hub for trade and innovation. Visitors learned about the business-friendly environment, which offers incentives for entrepreneurs and investors, further solidifying the UAE’s role as a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship.
The forum also explored joint business ventures and successful projects in sectors like investment, energy, and technological industries, underscoring the growing global and regional impact of UAE-China economic relations.
