UAE Strengthens Ties with China in Youth-Centered Climate Initiatives
Dr. Sultan Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Arab Youth Centre, participated in the 2024 World Youth Development Forum in China, focusing on strengthening collaboration with the All-China Youth Federation and other global partners.
His involvement underscores efforts to align youth-driven initiatives in the Arab region with global climate action and sustainability goals.
Participating via video conference under the forum's theme, 'Together for a Better Future,' Dr. Al Neyadi emphasized the UAE's commitment to empowering youth as leaders in shaping global policies and driving positive societal change.
He highlighted the UAE's initiatives, including the 'Arab Youth Council for Climate Change,' designed to amplify Arab youth voices in climate forums and support regional climate action efforts.
The forum, attended by young leaders and decision-makers from various countries, aims to prioritize youth empowerment in national and international development initiatives. It serves as a platform for sharing innovative solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and encourages youth participation in the upcoming 'Summit of the Future 2024.'
Dr. Al Neyadi expressed gratitude to the forum's organizers, including the All-China Youth Federation and the United Nations in China, for facilitating this platform that fosters global youth collaboration and innovation.
The forum, now in its third iteration, continues to prioritize youth-driven development and environmental sustainability, building on the success of previous editions that introduced key initiatives like the 'International Initiative on Prioritising Youth Development' and the ‘Beijing Declaration on Joint Youth Action.’
