The operator has entered into an agreement to establish additional branches in malls situated in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah.
A joint venture has been announced between Line Investments & Property, the shopping mall development and management division of Lulu Group International, and Star Cinemas. As a result, certain malls in the UAE will be expanding their cinema offerings with additional screens. The announcement was made during a signing ceremony held recently.
By implementing this decision, Star Cinemas will increase its current screen count of 76 by an additional 22 screens.
The new screens will be integrated into the following malls:
- Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi: 9 screens
- Al Foah Mall, Al Ain: 6 screens
- Barari Outlet Mall, Al Ain: 4 screens
- Al Raha Mall, Abu Dhabi: 3 screens
Moreover, Star Cinemas will establish new locations in Dubai Silicon Oasis Mall, Sharjah Central Mall, and RAK Mall. This development will position Star Cinemas as the second-largest cinema operator in the UAE in terms of screen count.
