The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council (IHPC) at the UAE Presidential Court will host a week-long series of masterclasses from 29 September to 4 October 2025, bringing global experts together to strengthen the country’s humanitarian leadership.

The initiative, called the Aid Foresight Programme, aims to equip UAE aid leaders with cutting-edge knowledge on the evolving foreign aid landscape. Structured around four pillars—education, capacity building, experience sharing, and strategic networking—the programme seeks to reinforce the UAE’s role as a key player in global humanitarian efforts.

Among the international speakers are Beatriz Nofal, an advisor on global governance and former G20 representative for Argentina; Bart Fonteyne, a senior advisor on development and humanitarian aid; and Hosuk Lee-Makiyama, an expert on trade and international affairs.

Led by the Office of Development and Affairs with support from the Presidential Court, the programme involves institutions such as Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Emirates Red Crescent, and UAE Aid Agency. It is positioned as the first of its kind in the region, preparing UAE leadership to navigate complex crises and underserved regions across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
