The United Arab Emirates is poised to make a strong impression at the 15th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, taking place from November 12-17, 2024, in Zhuhai, China.
The UAE National Pavilion, organized by the Emirates Defense Companies Council (EDCC) with support from the Ministry of Defense and Tawazun Council, will spotlight the UAE’s advancements in aviation and defense technology.
Led by industry frontrunners EDGE Group and Calidus Aerospace LLC, the UAE delegation will showcase cutting-edge defense products and solutions, underscoring the nation’s technical expertise and commitment to innovation.
Muammar Abdulla Abushahab, CEO of Tawazun Council, highlighted the UAE’s dedication to strengthening its position in defense and security sectors, adding,
“Our involvement aligns with our vision to enable the UAE’s industries on a global scale.”
The UAE’s participation underscores the strong diplomatic and economic ties with China, which both countries’ leaderships continue to foster. Abushahab remarked on the significant progress in UAE-China relations, emphasizing China as a “vital partner” for advancing industrial collaboration and defense initiatives.
Anas Nasser Al Otaiba, General Manager of EDCC, emphasized the event’s role in elevating the UAE’s defense sector globally, stating,
“Our participation at Airshow China highlights Emirati innovation and the competitiveness of national companies in international markets.”
He further stressed the importance of expanding partnerships to bolster the UAE’s manufacturing sector and enhance its global footprint.
Since its inception in 1996, Airshow China has served as a pivotal forum for aerospace innovation, drawing global attention and enabling significant industry partnerships. The UAE’s presence marks a step forward in its strategic expansion and ambition to lead in defense technology innovation.
