UAE-Türkiye Economic Partnership Poised for Further Growth with Over $9 Billion in Investments
The economic and investment partnership between the UAE and Türkiye is experiencing rapid expansion, with bilateral investments surpassing significant milestones.
UAE investments in Türkiye have exceeded $6 billion, while Turkish investments in the UAE have surpassed $3 billion, marking a robust collaboration between the two nations.
Burak Dağlıoğlu, President of the Investment Office of the Presidency of Türkiye, highlighted the growing investment flows during the Investopia 2025 event in Abu Dhabi. He attributed this upward trajectory to the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which has bolstered investment exchanges and strengthened economic ties.
Dağlıoğlu emphasized that Turkish companies are increasingly eyeing the UAE as a strategic gateway to Asian and African markets, leveraging the country’s status as a global trade hub. Simultaneously, Türkiye offers attractive opportunities for UAE investors, thanks to its extensive trade network, including the EU Customs Union and 30 free trade agreements, granting access to over one billion consumers.
Türkiye’s substantial infrastructure investments have further enhanced its connectivity, positioning Istanbul as a major hub with access to 1.3 billion people. With Türkiye's GDP nearing $1.2 trillion, the nation presents a compelling investment landscape.
Dağlıoğlu underscored the importance of fostering ongoing investment dialogue between the two countries, noting the immense potential for mutual growth. He praised Investopia as a pivotal platform for exploring bilateral and multilateral investment opportunities, laying the foundation for a prosperous economic partnership.
