Prices for staycations at top resorts and beach properties across the UAE have dropped, with rates starting as low as Dh480 per night.

Travel agencies and websites are offering discounts of up to 60% for Eid Al Etihad, making this an ideal time for UAE residents to book holiday getaways.

Expedia is offering up to 30% off hotel stays in popular destinations like Thailand, Turkey, and Greece. These deals, available until December 4, 2024, are valid for travel until December 15, 2025, allowing residents to plan ahead for the festive season, National Day long weekend, or even summer vacations.

“People are increasingly spending on experiences rather than things,”

said Melanie Fish, VP of global communications at Expedia Group.

“This year, we’ve sourced more hotel deals than ever before, and they’re available for a longer period than previous sales.”

Holiday Factory’s packages, departing from November 29 to December 5, are in high demand, with many already sold out. Destinations like Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Georgia are popular, with prices ranging from Dh2,299 for a 4-night stay in Sri Lanka to Dh4,899 for a 3-night Maldives escape.

For those seeking a domestic getaway, Al Raha Beach Hotel in Abu Dhabi and Stella Di Mare in Dubai are offering attractive discounts. Al Raha Beach offers 41% off, while Stella Di Mare is offering 40% off, providing a luxurious break within the UAE.

Meanwhile, cruises are also seeing high demand, with 'seacationing' becoming a sought-after option for residents. Departing from Dubai and stopping in Abu Dhabi, these two-night cruises start at Dh1,400 and offer a unique blend of relaxation and entertainment, with onboard performances and fine dining.
