The UAE’s winter tourism season has been marked by a vibrant array of festivals, attracting both local and international visitors.
These events play a crucial role in bolstering the nation’s dynamic tourism sector, offering a diverse mix of culture, entertainment, shopping, and heritage experiences.
The Sheikh Zayed Festival, one of the largest cultural and heritage celebrations, runs until February 28, 2025. With over 6,000 global cultural activities, 1,000 public shows, and 30,000 exhibitors, it promises to draw millions. Notably, it includes pavilions from 27 countries and events like the Sheikh Zayed Falconry Championship and traditional cuisine competitions.
Another highlight is the Mother of the Nation (MOTN) Festival in Abu Dhabi, which welcomed over 259,000 visitors in its 8th edition. Spanning Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra, and Al Ain, the festival featured more than 350 activities for all ages.
The Liwa International Festival, held in Al Dhafra, has become a premier winter destination, offering 23 days of exciting activities, from traditional sports to motor challenges, attracting adventure enthusiasts and racing fans alike.
In Dubai, the 30th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival, running until January 14, draws crowds with exclusive deals, concerts, and massive prize draws, while the Global Village continues to mesmerize with over 40,000 entertainment shows and 200+ rides until May 2025.
Sharjah’s 4th Events Festival and the second Khorfakkan Marine Festival also captivated thousands, with cultural shows, games, and maritime heritage exhibitions, further solidifying the UAE’s status as a leading winter tourism hub.
These festivals blend innovation with tradition, solidifying the UAE’s reputation as a world-class cultural and entertainment destination.
