The UAE Ministry of Economy has announced the addition of three global clean energy companies to its NextGenFDI programme.
The new entrants—Enerflow, HyGreen Energy, and Enpower Greentech—bring cutting-edge storage and generation solutions that will accelerate the UAE’s transition to a low-carbon, sustainable economy.
Enerflow, a specialist in vanadium flow battery technology, promises to extend the lifecycle of clean-energy storage batteries, while HyGreen Energy is revolutionizing hydrogen production through water electrolysis technology. Enpower Greentech is driving innovation with its solid-state batteries, developed in collaboration with leading automotive and eVTOL companies globally.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, emphasized the importance of the companies' involvement in advancing the UAE’s clean-energy goals, stating,
"Their inclusion in NextGenFDI underscores our commitment to supporting strategic investments in clean-energy solutions."
Launched in 2022, the NextGenFDI initiative seeks to attract innovation-led companies by offering market-entry benefits like fast-track licensing, visa issuance, and access to financial services. These companies will contribute to the UAE’s growing clean-tech sector and its reputation as a global hub for sustainability.
Senior representatives of the companies expressed enthusiasm for the programme, highlighting the UAE’s unmatched infrastructure and commitment to clean energy as key reasons for their participation.
