The UAE's tourism sector is set for further growth, thanks to its strategic partnership with the 1 Billion Followers Summit, which draws over 15,000 content creators from around the world.
Fatima Abdulrahman, Director of Government Communications at the Ministry of Economy, highlighted that this collaboration will amplify the UAE's exceptional tourism offerings and strengthen its global tourism identity.
Abdulrahman emphasized the ongoing success of the "World's Coolest Winter" campaign. This initiative continues to generate significant results across various tourism sectors, boosting domestic tourism revenue and hotel bookings. The 2024 edition of the campaign is particularly focused on showcasing the country's natural landscapes, diverse environments, and ideal winter weather, with a special emphasis on green tourism.
The summit serves as a global platform that connects the campaign’s digital content with real-world tourist experiences, broadening its reach both regionally and internationally. Abdulrahman noted that the campaign has had a profound impact on the UAE's tourism sector over the past four editions, contributing to hotel revenues nearing AED1 billion from January 9 to February 20, 2024.
Aligning with the National Tourism Strategy 2031, the campaign aims to position the UAE as the top global tourism destination, with an ambitious goal of increasing tourism's contribution to the national GDP to AED450 billion and attracting AED100 billion in new investments by the decade's end.
