The Union Association for Human Rights (UAHR) has announced the launch of its quarterly magazine, Emirates for Human Rights, in both Arabic and English.
The publication aims to raise awareness of human rights, spotlight contemporary issues, and serve as a platform for dialogue among local and international experts.
Positioned as a global human rights platform, the magazine aspires to enhance the exchange of expertise and ideas while broadening the scope of human rights discussions. The inaugural issue delves into the UAE’s humanitarian journey, emphasizing the Document on Human Fraternity and the nation’s leadership in peace and climate action, rooted in the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed.
A special section honors H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, affectionately known as the Mother of the Nation, for her tireless efforts in championing women’s rights and empowerment. The magazine also reviews the UAE’s contributions to the international human rights landscape, including UAHR's active participation in the United Nations Human Rights Council.
In her opening editorial, Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al Kaabi, President of UAHR and Editor-in-Chief, highlighted the magazine’s role as an independent platform to foster awareness of fundamental rights and freedoms. She emphasized UAHR’s commitment to showcasing inspiring achievements and offering objective analyses of global human rights developments.
The magazine seeks to present innovative ideas and highlight the UAE’s successes in promoting human rights, aiming to inspire just and progressive societies worldwide.
