With Saudi Arabia gearing up to receive numerous pilgrims from across the globe for Umrah, the Ministry of Haj and Umrah has detailed the array of options available for Muslims to undertake this sacred journey. The listed options include the transit visit visa, family visit visa, personal visit visa, and visa on arrival.
Family visit visa
Those on a family visit visa can participate in Umrah, provided they schedule an appointment through the Nusuk platform. A family visit visa can be obtained through a relative residing in the Kingdom, and the applicant's status should be Citizen/Resident. Pilgrims can apply for the visa through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' unified national platform at https://visa.mofa.gov.sa.
Personal visit visa
Saudi citizens have the opportunity to invite their friends to the Kingdom for Umrah through a personal visit visa.
The personal visit visa offers several advantages, such as the option for single or multiple entries. Pilgrims can perform Umrah rituals and visit the Prophet's Mosque. Moreover, they have the opportunity to explore historical sites and cultural destinations in various cities across the Kingdom. Additionally, they can embark on tourist trips to all regions and cities of Saudi Arabia.
The single entry visa is valid for 90 days, with a maximum duration of stay of 90 days. On the other hand, the multiple entry visa remains valid for a year, and the duration of stay is also 90 days.

Pilgrims have the option to apply for the visa through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa platform at https://visa.mofa.gov.sa.
Transit visit visa
For pilgrims arriving by plane, the transit visit visa is available and offers several benefits. In addition to performing the rituals of Umrah, they can also visit the Prophet's Mosque. The visa is valid for 90 days, allowing a four-day stay in the Kingdom. The visa is issued free of charge and can be obtained immediately upon purchasing an airline ticket.
How to Get It?
Pilgrims have the option to book a ticket and submit a visa application through the electronic platforms of Saudia Airlines or Flynas. Following the issuance of the air ticket, the visa is processed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs unified national visa platform and sent directly to the beneficiary's email.
Visa on arrival
Citizens of the United Kingdom, European Union nations, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea, Brunei, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan are eligible for a visa on arrival.
To be eligible, the youngest independent Umrah performer must be at least 18 years old, and their passport should have a minimum validity of six months. Additionally, they must obtain approved medical insurance within the Kingdom. Visa fees will be applicable.
