The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme announced details of the 10th Knowledge Summit at a high-level event at the UN Headquarters in New York.

The Summit will take place on 19–20 November 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Marking its tenth anniversary, Knowledge Summit 2025 will explore “Knowledge Markets” as a driver of economic growth, social inclusion, and empowerment. The event will showcase global best practices in sustainable development and highlight the role of partnerships and investments in building integrated knowledge ecosystems.

Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, said the Summit “represents a strategic milestone that crowns a decade of impactful achievements” and reinforces the foundation’s mission to position knowledge as a tool for empowerment and prosperity.

The Summit will host over 45 dialogue sessions featuring around 130 speakers, including senior government officials, business leaders, academics, and development experts. Sessions will examine modern technologies such as AI, blockchain, and big data, alongside issues like legislation, intellectual property, education, research, and innovation. Interactive side events will include the Authors’ Corner, the Knowledge Markets Exhibition, the Knowledge Café, and a Policy Roundtable.

Dr. Abdallah Al Dardari, UN Assistant Secretary-General and Director of UNDP’s Regional Bureau for Arab States, emphasized that knowledge markets are “powerful drivers to empower people, bridge divides, and help countries navigate global challenges.”

The Summit will also feature the launch of the 2025 Global Knowledge Index, offering insights into trends and opportunities in knowledge economies worldwide. Dr. Hany Torky of UNDP highlighted that the updated index incorporates shifts in technology, the digital economy, and climate change to support evidence-based policymaking.

As global economic, technological, and social landscapes evolve, Knowledge Summit 2025 aims to provide a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and cross-border partnerships to shape the future of knowledge.
